Industrial design has hit a new high for American interiors. We see it in everything from lighting in restaurants and hotels to hardware on furniture and cabinetry to Waterworks faucets for the bath, bar and kitchen. To further this desired style, the industrial-inspired R.W. Atlas collection was designed for us by Roman and Williams and feels very current.

It is no secret that I love tile. I am very familiar with white or red clay body tile, and as in the case of Grove Brickworks, brown clay.  However, our new collection of tile, Magma, is created from the materials spilled from an erupting volcano. For inspiration we looked at travel photos, fashion, our favorite richly illustrated books, our closets, and an old standby, the color wheel.

From the Paris Metro to school bathrooms, public buildings, restaurants, and countless baths, the standard white 3X6 subway tile installed in a familiar, repetitive staggered brick pattern is classic and timeless. It is comfortable and friendly, and such a composition that emphasizes the horizontal lines in a room is an excellent basic format. You simply cannot make a mistake with white subway tile.
