Classical architecture at its best. An axial procession through a hall lined with black and white prints leads to a perfectly placed window with a view of the landscape beyond. The sculptural and symmetrical design of the tub, with its burnished exterior and simple footed base, fills the architectural need for balance and proportion.
I wish my garden looked like this photo. Perhaps with a little more attention and some plant purchases, it will. I am going to spend the weekend clipping and pruning, planting and relaxing. I hope you will do the same. I love the start of summer!!

Who doesn’t dream of a house at the beach? One immediately thinks of cool breezes, warm sand, fresh color, casual living, and relaxing on the shore under an umbrella — and finally, a delicious warm bath before dinner. Sounds divine to me.
I am just back from Cuba and have not had time to process any of my photographs. Instead, I am sharing another great bath.
