A bath with a masculine orientation is more about grooming than primping. There will not be any dressing tables, fluffy rugs or soft colors and trays of cosmetics.  I imagine a man’s bath will use rich polished wood for furniture or decorative accessories, dark colors from gray to brown and beautifully figured or textured stone.

Our location on Kings Road, next door to the neighborhood pub and adjacent to many other design businesses, finds us in the heart of an area of individual creative home goods shops and near Chelsea Harbor. We are very excited about our new venture and hope you will stop in to visit when you are in London.

Corner Sinks

Many of us find ourselves very short on space in either a powder bath or, occasionally, a full bath. Finding the right solution for these space constraints is never easy. I was poking around and found one solution to resolving this spatial dilemma: the corner sink. While the corner sink solves the water delivery issue, it is not necessarily the prettiest resolution. But, for washing hands or brushing teeth, it gets the job done.

Details: Grout Color

The overall success of any project lies in the details. And, one of the details that can most easily derail a tile installation is the choice of grout color. For some reason, the grout color selection is often left to the last minute. The installer, already on the job, makes the decision. While there is no right or wrong grout color and the choice is a matter of personal preference, some colors ultimately look better than others (a lot better!). For many years I suggested a nearly matching color grout, especially when installing white tile. Recently, I have found that light or dark gray grout can look great in some installations. We call that our ‘old New York’ look.
